This is a nice Elgin 18 Size Open Face 17 Jewel Pocket Watch. This watch has a badly replaced bow, extremely worn crown, but good stem, good sleeve, and good unpolished swing out nickel open face case. The front cover screws on and off with ease and the hinged movement support frame is good. The watch has good, blued spade hands a damaged single sunk genuine factory in animal dial in good clean gilt 17 jewel open face running pocket watch movement. The movement is in very nice clean running condition. This case will need a new crown and a new bow. The crown is simply too worn and the bow is horrendous. Overall, this is a good running 18 size Elgin pocket watch with huge potential through the repair person and home hobbyist.
