Our Story

At watchpartsrus, we have spent over 76 years building an unparalleled and diverse inventory of vintage mechanical watch parts, mechanical wristwatches & pocket watches, fine repair tools, and horological literature. We are passionate about what we do, and sharing this very passion with fellow members of the horological community is the driving force behind our continued growth and success.

The roots of our horological material operation started in 1946 by Daniel J. Bosworth. He was a watchmaker and railroad watch inspector from Bellow Falls, Vermont who eventually settled in Concord, New Hampshire and had the foresight to purchase and inventory as many vintage watch parts as he could. His desire to always have the part he needed while repairing fine timepieces led us to this point of constantly purchasing any and all horological material we could add to our repair shop. The advent of the internet has allowed us to offer this vast wealth of important horological material to the world. We are watchmakers by trade and understand the business.

Our inventory consists of the material we own from our acquisitions of five different New York City watch material houses, along with the contents of five master Bestfit parts systems. Our vast and continuously growing inventory of material also contains the cherry-picked vintage antique watch material of around 308 watchmaker’s estates. Owner and watchmaker Steven N. Mitchell is always looking to purchase additional watch material houses, watchmaker’s estates, and rare antique watch material to further grow and refine our inventory. Steven is a 30 year member of the National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors (NAWCC) and a licensed, bonded auctioneer in the state of New Hampshire (license #2996).

Whether you're a watchmaker by trade, an avid collector, a repair person, or a horological enthusiast, our goal is to provide you with exactly what you need, and when you need it. From all of us here behind the scenes, we sincerely look forward to working with you.
