This is an Elgin 18 Size Coin Silver Hunting Key Wind and Key Set Pocket Watch. The watch has a good Dueber coin silver hunting case with good lift springs, lock springs, hinged bezel with glass crystal, good back cover case lip and dust cover. The case has a good bow, good, blued hands, good sub second hand, nice clean genuine early enamel dial signed “NATIONAL WATCH CO.”. This is a 7 jewel very early circa 1867 MODEL “J. T. RYERSON” movement with solid rim balance wheel. The watch is movement number 12041. The movement is clean and complete. It winds, sets and runs with brisk motion. This is a nice example of an early Elgin key wind and key set coin silver early pocket watch. The case is 58 MM in diameter and the case weighs 4 ounces. These early hunting Elgin 5-digit serial number watches are getting hard to find.
